It is not necessary for you to bring money at your arrival, since there’s always an ATM at the airport. There are also ATM machines where you can get money with 5 dollars commision. There are available for Mastercard or Visa cards. In any case we recommend you to bring in a bit of cash, the amount depending on what you want do in your free time. Many volunteers manage with what the program gives.

Many of the volunteers handle what the program covers and there are others who spend a little more to get to know the country. From Monday to Friday you can spend about 20-40 dollars for your personal expenses or if you go to a beach, on the weekend you can go on a trip from Friday to Sunday from 100 to 250 dollars (the most common).

You should have a medical insurance with basic attention in case of accident and general diseases. Normally you can get it with the air ticket. If you already have insurance you can ask them for information.

Is not necessary if you come from EU, US, Australia or Far East. (Only risk countries have this petition)

With your traffic permit you can drive 3 months

The public transport in Central America is really chip, and the buses are very frequently at the Interamericana. (This road goes across the country)

Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua is the saftiest countries in Latin America. Our volunteers have traveled all over the country and nothing ever happened. Like in every place in the world you have to be careful when you take money out or go to far away places. The program’s areas are totally safe.

All the programs include the pick in the airport, accommodation at volunteers house, three meals, orientation about the place where you stay, information about the program and house, also our local coordinator will advise you for any question.

The price depends about the program you choose and how long you participe. From 535€ starting two weeks. You can verify the cost for additional week at the web.

Of course! but it will depend if there are available places, because we have to coordinate staff who go along with you.

We ask for a minimum of 15 days, because is good to be more involved and give more to the program.

Panama is a warm place, but for programs in institutions you should wear more formal attire: long trousers, closed shoes and short sleeve t-shirt.

All volunteers can bring things to donate, clothes, books or other things to donate to your program or any other. Everything can help to bring more smiles to the families.

Each program has got specific dates, which you can see in the description. We recommend a minimum of 15 days, if it’s possible the whole fortnight of each month, we request that you arrive in Sunday, for better organization.

There will always be an Adventure Volunteer coordinator at the airport, easy to spot at arrival’s section, and he or she will go along with you to the volunteers’ house.

Yes but it depends of your origin country, normally 17-21 years old. You can come with a legal tutor too.

Our commitment with the programs is to send volunteers who can do a responsible and quality job, independently if they have a disability. The only inconvenient is that in our programs there’s no infrastructure for mobility for disabled people. Would be better that you contact us to talk in detail. info@adventurevolunteer.org

Of course! If there’s a spot you can come with who you want.

For the majority of programs isn’t necessary any higher education, only if you are interested in Psychology volunteering program or Medicine and health program we request formation.

We will try a minimum of 2 volunteers per house and a maximum of 8 people for fortnight.

The offered meal will be local, balanced. You will have breakfast and dinner with lunch in the majority of programs. If you have some allergy we ask you give us this information when you complete the inscription to coordinate your arrival as much as possible.

There are a couple of mini supermarkets, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, health center and a police station a few minutes away. (no turtle´s program)

Tipical house style, with garden and common area. Laundry 1 day per week, fridge, kitchen, wifi, individual bed in shared room, shared bathroom, and front yard to relax in a caribbean hammock. ( According to place or family)

We wish to create new opportunities for children, man and women, and unite different programs from different volunteers from across the world, thus ensuring the development of quality education, reading after school and women’s empowerment. We also wish to support vulnerable communities, environmental care as well as animal care in the form of Sea Turtles preservation program and psychological attention to children, promoting solidarity and social care, animal care while sharing an experience full of culture, tradition and knowledge.

The amount will be distributed in accommodation, marketing, administration, transport, coordinators, daily meals, legal expenses, and the donation from 10% to 20% to the program.

When you make your reserve through the web, we save it during 7 days, after this you have to pay the first fee of 150€ (180¢)* and then 30 days before the beginning of the program you have to pay the second fee to complete the amount.
