What is this program about?

As a volunteer you offer half a day of teaching in the morning, and free time on the beach in the afternoon. In the morning, you will leave the center to work in local child development centers or kindergartens with students from 2.5 to 6 years old.

You will have the opportunity to work as a teacher’s assistant, play games, sing songs, teach simple English lessons or participate in other creative learning activities with children.

In the afternoon, you will be teaching English in local primary or secondary schools with students between the ages of 6 and 12.

How is the day to day and what will I do as a volunteer?

The day to day of the volunteer consists of a collaboration from Monday to Friday, approximately 4 or 5 hours.

A typical volunteer day begins with breakfast at the accommodation with all the volunteers. At the end, the volunteers go to the project, where they meet with the local coordinator to organize the activities planned for the day.

Throughout the morning each volunteer contributes to the assigned tasks. A stop is made for lunch and, depending on the needs, they continue with the tasks or have free time.

The volunteer can visit nearby areas in his free time. In the evening, the group has dinner and prepares for the next day.

The activities that you will carry out during your volunteering can be the following:

  • Preparation of classes.
  • Teaching language and other subjects.
  • Support in hygiene tasks and children’s food.
  • Workshops and games for the school.

Requirements to participate

  • Be over 18 years old (except if you are traveling with your parents).
  • Cover the cost of the program according to weeks.
  • Have mandatory travel insurance.
  • Respect cultures and religions.

  • Follow the rules of local accommodation and projects.
  • Have an entry and exit ticket to the country in allowed tourist time.

Where will I be and when do I have to arrive?

Where will the accommodation be?

The airport you must arrive at is the Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK), on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 5:00 am to 4:00 pm, to be picked up by the local coordinators, and transferred to the volunteer accommodation. In case of arriving at another time, the local coordinator will tell you how to get there.

Once you arrive you will stay at the volunteer’s house, located in the village of Prachuap Khiri Khan. The accommodation is located near the beach area. The rooms are shared by the volunteers (there are bedding for the volunteer). The programs are located about 45/50 minutes from the house. Staff remain on site 7 days a week to assist participants.

The rooms are shared by the rest of the volunteers. The house has common areas that can be used by volunteers and also provides access to a laundry room. There is hot water, Wi-Fi and air conditioning are also available.

Dates and method of arrival

The program is open throughout the year, except on holidays (consult according to your availability). Collaboration hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a break for lunch.

How long can I go?

You can be in the project from 2 weeks to 12 weeks.

In stark contrast to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, Chiang Mai is a smaller city with a huge connection to the environment, providing direct access to the nearby beautiful forested mountains that are a hotspot for adventurers and nature lovers. nature alike.
