What is this program about?

In this program you will be able to help and at the same time get to know all the beauties that a volunteer destination like Vietnam offers.

Volunteering in Vietnam is the perfect match you were looking for. Its delicious food, its famous beaches and its impressive rivers, all this and much more in this country on the east coast of Asia. You will have the perfect opportunity to meet and share with the people, communities, children and youth of the project and the country.

In this program you will help prepare lunches and serve meals to a group of about 500 people (elderly, local workers, people with disabilities, students and girls) who come every day for low-cost, good-quality and well-prepared food.

This program is likely to be one of the most challenging, engaging, and sometimes exhausting things you’ll ever do, enjoying every minute of it.

Since 2012, The Smile Food store has been opened to help people by providing low-cost lunches for only 2,000 VND per meal (about 10 euro cents). The store is run by an NGO together with passionate locals and your efforts will be greatly appreciated as well.

A typical volunteer day begins with breakfast at the accommodation with all the volunteers. Volunteers head to the project (by bus or on foot, depending on the assigned area), where they meet with the local coordinator to see what activities are planned for the day.

The volunteer can visit nearby areas in his spare time. In the evening, the group has dinner and prepares for the next day.
