Workshops and teaching with women in Nicaragua

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMMES

The volunteer programme of empowerment in Nicaragua aims to help women in Nicaragua with subjects and classes, with the objective of working for the welfare and development of women in the most vulnerable communities in Nicaragua. This collaboration is done through the orientation and acquisition of tools to learn new languages. We also work on teaching in a more personalised way, where we help them to develop their skills and strengthen their knowledge.

The women’s volunteer programme in Nicaragua is a way to improve and expand their knowledge and skills and to have a cultural exchange of this wonderful country.

WHAT WILL I DO IN EMPOWERMENT VOLUNTEERING IN NICARAGUA?

In the development of the empowerment volunteering programme in Nicaragua, activities are carried out such as:

  • Teaching and training workshops. Reading activities, English, Spanish, mathematics and other more specific subjects.
  • Organising workshops on job opportunities and business development. Knowledge of new technologies, guidelines for drawing up a Curriculum Vitae (curriculum vitae), tools for looking for work, how to start a business, among others, are promoted.
  • Cultural exchange workshops. The different customs of the members of the programme are known, exchanging culinary practices, beauty and customs and ideas of the participants.
  • Learn how to use tools such as the computer, write, create an email, how to surf the internet and use Office applications.

These activities give women the opportunity to open their minds, with the aim of showing them the opportunities they have to improve themselves and achieve their dreams.

With the workshops of the volunteer programme with women in Nicaragua, the aim is to create a pleasant and dynamic atmosphere, to make women aware of the importance of being educated academically and the job opportunities available, and to encourage them to continue with their difficulties.
